As I had earlier stated, I am a sucker for love. Love melts my heart and always makes me feel the appreciation that I am valued and mean something to someone. A real self esteem booster! But then again, as years have gone by, I have come to understand and know when REAL and FAKE love that being is directed my way. You know, the way someone knows that you are a sucker for something, and they fully, I mean FULLY take advantage of that fact to play with your emotions so as to gain whatever it is they wanted to achieve in the first place. Yeah... that one!!!
To my understanding and the way I know it to be:-
Love takes time. It needs a history of giving and receiving, laughing and crying. ...and boy have I had my moments of everything! Without giving, you cannot receive and equally, without knowing sadness, disappointment and tears of pain, betrayal, anger &loss... you will not appreciate the joys, laughter and happiness of Love!!!!
Love never promises instant gratification, only ultimate fulfillment. Finally but not least, Love means believing in someone, in something... It supposes a willingness to struggle, to work, to suffer and to rejoice!
To all yee love suckers as I out there... life is too short to have any regrets. Love like there's no tomorrow, ...for, it is your personal gratification and happiness, is all that counts!

This thing called... P
One of the few resolutions I had for the year 2012, was to stop this procrastination nonsense! Now look where we are in the year.... yeah, I know! Its just TWO months to usher in 2013!
The mostly affected is this blog. I made a promise NOT TO let my procrastinating ways affect this blog and I even blogged about it! I truly need to re-evaluate myself and do a summary as to why I am not even able to spare atleast 30 minutes daily for this!! But then again... I'm only human! ;-)

The Punishment
A fortnight ago, early Sunday morning at around 7.20am,
the door bell awoke the entire household. In the mist of gathering your
thoughts and being fully awake, there was another door bell ring. I was a
little under the weather so my hubby went out to see who it was at the door. It
was a neighbourhood child who had come to tell my daughters that their madrassa
van has come to pick them.
Hubby called out the second-born’s name, only for
her to come out of the room still startled by the door bell. He wasn’t amused
that she had not set the alarm to wake up early and prepare her siblings for
madrassa. He then told her to talk to the girl at the door. Guess what she
said?... “Hi, my dad’s going to drop us.” She then proceeded to close the door
and smiled at her dad.
“Say What?! You did not just say that?” thundered
the dad! He then went on and gave her a lecturer on being responsible of
yourself and actions. She is the older one of the siblings, therefore, the
responsibility and guidance of her younger siblings solely rests upon her! They
were all called and given a lecture too.
“So since you love your sleep too much, you all go
take a shower, then go back to sleep. There is no way I will drop you at madrassa!
If you knew that I would be dropping you, then why bother paying for the
van??!!” said hubby literally mad this time.
That will be your punishment! “No going to madrassa!
No watching TV! Strictly no coming out of your rooms unless otherwise! (It was
during the month of Ramadhan, so they couldn’t feed as they were fasting) You
are simply going to sleep the WHOLE day!...up until it’s time to break your
fast. And tomorrow morning, you had better wake up early such that by 7.10am,
you are out of the house, by the gate waiting for the van! Are my clear?” as he
looked at all his children straight in their eyes.
Waah! I hadn’t seen him so disappointed in them! Our
eldest daughter and I felt sorry for them but they had to be punished because
they were kinda making it a habit of waking up late and either the van waits
for them to finish dressing up or the dad drops them later when through. He had
had enough of their mind games and early morning laziness!
You shoulda seen them! The shock, fear and mixed emotions
in their eyes! SIGH...They had never seen dad this mad! This is one punishment
that they will never forget and will forever chuckle about when they will be
older and wiser! I’m still chuckling as I write this...but the point was definitely
driven home! They have NEVER woken up late, ever! ;-)

Red Rose!
I am a sucker for love songs, poems and anything lovey dovey... so when I came across this, I couldn't resist to share it with all of you who are 'love suckers' like me... ;-) Enjoy...
Red is the color of which I will bear.
Like the color of a rose, it tells that I am true.
For me to state anything else is quite false.
My love for you runs more deep and more true than the glorious color of a red rose.
It runs more deep than the bluest ocean or widest sea.
My love for you will always be there, even tough I may not be.
If you are going to forgive me then the love I have for you will pour over you and fill your veins until the blood that now flows in them will now be my love.
It is so strong that the moment I stand up it knocks me down.
I've never met anyone quite like you.
You are the only thing that keeps me living.
You are the only thing that is running through my body.
My body, mind and soul are taken by your power.
Your love is the thing that that makes my heart beat,
Every second that you are not there it slows down a beat,
When I hear your voice again my heart beats faster hoping for your return.

Yester's Happiness Tomorrow's Memory
Each happiness of yesterday is a memory for tomorrow!
Indeed it is! Happiness is one thing that one holds on to. It evokes nostalgic moments that instantly warms your heart and a warm hearty smile or laugh follows shortly. The human mind is soo intriguing that it can store up all happy moments in as equal measure as storing unpleasant or sad memories, only that the latter is often blocked because no one want to dwell on unhappy moments.
In most instances happy memories are triggered when you observe or are witness to a similar incidence that happened or occurred in your presence or participation. It reaches a point in life that one never realizes that one needs to take a break and smell the coffee, being enslaved in the rat race, where all this is being in pursuit of realization and quest to reaching the optimal 'self actualization'.
We are soo used to operating our daily lives on an auto-pilot such that we never get to appreciate the going-ons in our environment. Just start with at-least 10 minutes a day, just to observe what is happening in your environment. You will be amazed at what you will be able to see at a glance of those very ten minutes!
Gradually, you will be able to appreciate taking some time out and just be the quiet listener, and by so doing, you will truly be able to see that.... "Each happiness of yesterday is indeed a memory for tomorrow!"
I challenge you to try it, and gimmie feedback to that effect. Your ten minutes start now....

Customer Service... or what?
One of the rather unpleasant things that happened to me the other day left me wondering when did customer service change? If you are in the service industry, customer service and satisfaction is quite critical for business. A warm smile and simple gestures and body language often are a plus or minus to you as a service provider. So you can imagine my shock when after purchasing a cooking gas refill from a supermarket chain, when I was told to get out of my car and load the cylinder myself!!!! IMAGINE THAT!!!
The gas attendant on duty that day, asked whether I had a car, I answered to the affirmative. she then told me to 'bring it' next to the gas cylinder collection point, outside the supermarket. I gladly did so and upon parking, she had the audacity to tell me... ME... to get out of the car and load it myself!!! Heelloooo....
Just hold on a minute I call someone to load it in your car... THAT there my friends... is customer service! but WTH was that she just told me????!!!! I really felt bad for that treatment. Let's just say, the team leader/manager of that branch got to know of the incident and I demanded an apology to that effect!
I AM a VALUED customer like any other customer, and therefore customer service and satisfaction should be your top most objective!

What really happens?
I don't know what really happens but there are some days when one just wakes up on the wrong foot/side! There are many a times that I have wished I could have the power to stop time or fast forward it to another day, just so I don't get to have unpleasant things one after consume every ticking minute of that day!
For me to get an answer to this, I really need to engage a few of my close friends to an intimate talk. These friends are those that are a 'must have' in everyone's life. I say so because they are the ones that tell you off when need be and always able to tell white from black at a glance of you. They give you a reality check and not that "yes... yes" polite way of supporting whatever it is you propose to them or want to do.
...and WHY do I want to? Well... of late I have been having many incidences that are happening to me, of which, aren't pleasant at all, to say the least. Is it that I have a "woiyeeee" face? Is it my warm heart that is betraying me? or is it that I am too polite that I bring out the bitch in someone??!!!
I have been busy and not in touch or rather mingle a lot with people lately that I find that people have become mean overnight! Is life too harsh for you such that you constantly feel the need to frustrate any person who is just simply happy??!! Gosh! People need to style up and relax! Kueni wapole.....
