Someone special
who could amount to several special people
who are in their own element and free-self
with with you or close enough from you.
It's amazing how the sight of you makes them feel
the warm and genuine smile from within
and if disturbed, u will always tell from the face,
the eyes and facial expression will tell you all.
It's the little things that count
the firm but friendly handshake,
while maintaining eye contact
the genuine warm hug, tho' a little prolonged
the freshly picked flowers, just for you with a BIG smile
and the sharing of all your day's events, both
good and not so good, which feels great that you can relate.
Just knowing that you will always be there
to celebrate, joke, wine, cry or be angry
to dine, drink, dance and laugh at silly stories...
That is what I feel when with my hubby,
and the countless things he and our children
have done to make me 'feel' special!
And as always, I reciprocate!
God bless my family!

Designing with conversation
A good design begins with the user. No design, no matter how beautiful and ingenious is any good if it does not fulfill the user's need, hence, designing with conversation. Finding out what the customer wants is the first stage of what designers do. The designer then builds on results on the results of that inquiry with a mixture of creativity and commercial insight. Many a times, the eye-for-detail is usually part of the designer's arsenal of making sure that the design hits the mark.

Life at a glance
Like wine as it ages, it gets finer, so does man. Wine, like people, takes all the influences in life around it. Constantly evolving, gets its personality hence gaining its complexity. To man, when life changes, you change with it. But question is, how many of us accept change?
This is in honor of Max Ehrmann, the author of DESIDERATA way back in the 1920s. Read it. Now read it again, only this time, listen to the words...
"Go placidly amid the noise and the haste, and remember what peace there may be in silence. As far as possible, without surrender, be on good terms with all persons. Speak your truth quietly and clearly; and listen to others, even to the dull and the ignorant; they too have their story. Avoid loud and aggressive persons; they are vexatious to the spirit.
If you compare yourself with others, you may become vain or bitter, for always there will be greater and lesser persons than yourself. Enjoy your achievements as well as your plans. Keep interested in your own career, however humble; it is a real possession in the changing fortunes of time.
Exercise caution in your business affairs, for the world is full of trickery. But let this not blind you to what virtue there is; many persons strive for high ideals, and everywhere life is full of heroism. Be yourself. Especially do not feign affection. Neither be cynical about love, for in the face of all aridity and disenchantment, it is as perennial as the grass.
Take kindly the counsel of the years, gracefully surrendering the things of youth. Nurture strength of spirit to shield you in sudden misfortune. But do not distress yourself with dark imaginings. Many fears are born of fatigue and loneliness.
Beyond a wholesome discipline, be gentle with yourself. You are a child of the universe no less than the trees and the stars; you have a right to be here. And whether or not it is clear to you, no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should.
Therefore be at peace with God, whatever you conceive Him to be. And whatever your labors and aspirations, in the noisy confusion of life, keep peace in your soul. With all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world.
Be cheerful. Strive to be happy."
Need I say more... Reflect on these words of wisdom.

Gambler!
True to their word, once you grow up and eventually face the world head-on as an independent young adult, you get to see and experience the may faces that life has to offer. I think Kenny Rodgers' Gambler song says it best!
"On a warm summer's evening on a train bound for nowhere, I met up with the gambler; we were both too tired to sleep. So we took turns at staring out the window at the darkness, 'til boredom overtook us, and he began to speak.
He said, "Son I've made my life out of reading people's faces, And knowing what their cards were, by the way they held their eyes. So if you don't mind my saying, I can see you're out of aces. For a taste of your whiskey, I'll give you some advice."
So I handed him my bottle and he drank my last swallow. Then he bummed a cigarette and asked for a light. And the night got deathly quiet, and his face lost all expression. Said, "If you're gonna play the game, boy, ya gotta learn to play it right.
You got to know when to hold 'em, know when to fold 'em, know when to walk away and know when to run. You never count your money when you're sittin' at the table. There'll be time enough for counting when the dealing's done!
Every gambler knows that the secret to surviving, is knowing what to throw away and what to keep. 'Cause every hand's a winner and every hand's a loser, And the best that you can hope for, is to die in your sleep!"
When he'd finished speakin', he turned back towards the window, crushed out his cigarette and faded off to sleep. And somewhere in the darkness, the gambler he broke even. But in his final words, I found an ace that I could keep.
You got to know when to hold 'em, know when to fold 'em, know when to walk away and know when to run. You never count your money when sittin' at tyhe table. There'll be time enough for counting, when the dealing's done!
